Position Description

Electronic Ink develops and creates revenue through effective sales, marketing strategy and alliance programs.

The Sales and Marketing Leader will develop, manage and execute a sales and marketing strategy leading to organic and new business growth through direct sales, highly effective marketing strategy and alliance programs. The Sales and Marketing Leader is charged with defending existing revenues, growing new business, increasing our presence, solving key business system issues, identifying market segmentation target market, positioning and pricing. In addition to a firm understanding of enterprise level business systems and the business processes they are designed for, he or she should have design know-how to generate new business within this named account client base. Our ideal candidate has experience and contacts working in verticals such as, but not limited to, healthcare, financial, energy and software.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving revenue goals inside of a named account portfolio of clients that have revenue to defend, base opportunities to expand and trusted advisor status to achieve
  • Creating a Marketing strategy including but not limited to events, trade shows, speaking engagements, round table events, etc.
  • Developing new business, relationships and opportunities within a named account client base across all platforms of Electronic Ink?s business
  • Growing revenue with existing clients through frequent interaction and planning with client and internal project teams and directors
  • Supporting and following the business development selling cycle and methodology, including business development goals, budgets and forecasts for business plans
  • Selling enterprise-wide services and managing complex sales process of high value deals
  • Identifying revenue generating accounts by driving effective selling and marketing strategies
  • Facilitating the creation and approval of statements of work and work change orders within client relationships
  • Maintaining a high level of weekly activity consisting of client appointments and outbound calls
  • Selling, shaping and delivering large, complex and long-term engagements that combine strategy, design research, creative design and implementation
  • Working closely with assigned project teams across functions to shape emerging business opportunities
  • Ensuring absolute client satisfaction through quality of interaction and performance from project teams
  • Collaborating closely with key functional teams and leadership
  • Attending industry events and networking opportunities
  • Creating, documenting and tracking action plans and solution strategies

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review and direction on sales and marketing policies and procedures as needed
  • Review and direction on commission and incentive plans and programs
  • Documenting Best Practices and assistance in implementing them.
  • Improving Interdepartmental relations
  • Assistance in new staff training and on boarding
  • Review and direction on operational reports and metrics as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 10-15 years? experience in a consultative sales services environment
  • Extensive experience growing business through sales, marketing and alliance channels
  • Demonstrated track record in developing marketing strategy that leads to new business growth
  • A track record of exceeding goals
  • Efficient at expanding business within existing client base
  • Efficient at selling to C-level executives in service companies
  • Effective problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to assess situations, evaluate options and define strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills

Education

  • Bachelor?s in business administration, IT, marketing, communications or a related field
